NURS 116 — Psychological Principles For Nurses

This course is designed to introduce students to the psychological, social, and cultural needs of clients in the health care settings. Students will learn how to identify psychosocial needs of clients in both mental health and medical/surgical settings, utilizing DSM guidelines. Appropriate coping strategies and communication techniques will be addressed.
