ENVR 380 — Environmental Management and Planning

In this course, students will learn about the foundations of environmental planning and how to effectively manage ecosystems in the Sierra Nevada. This course covers historic case studies highlighting successful and unsuccessful policy and management. Economic resources, ecological goals, and human dimensions will be discussed. Understanding collaboration, local and regional participation, cooperation, and the value of partnerships will be prioritized.
