EDUC 208 — Teacher Preparation VIII Practicum
This is a practicum course for educators who work with migrant students, multilingual learners, and/or diverse learners that focuses on California State Standards and curriculum frameworks. In this course, participants will learn to design and implement subject matter curriculum based on students' learning goals and assess student learning. Attention will be given to developing an understanding of designing accommodations and/or modifications as needed to promote student access to the curriculum. The course emphasizes professionalism standards in education Teaching Performance Expectations 3: Understanding and Organizing Subject Matter for Student Learning (TPE 3.1, 3.2, 3.5). This course includes work experience in the school/classroom environment.
