AGEQ 121 — Introduction to Equine Hoof Care

This course covers an introduction to equine hoof care. Topics will include distal limb anatomy, hoof assessment tools and procedures, the role of diet and management in hoof health, principles of conformation, biomechanics of the equine limb and hoof, pathologies of the hoof, and principles and procedures in hoof care and trimming.
