TI 044 — Vietnamese Sight Translation 3 Units
This course introduces students to the fundamental skills of sight translation/interpreting focusing on the legal equivalence requirements of this mode of interpretation. It emphasizes reviewing reading comprehension skills, analyzing texts upon first reading, acquiring vocabulary research skills, expanding vocabulary, and understanding the role of the interpreter. Essential skills for Sight Translation/Interpreting as well as challenges faced in Sight Translation/Interpreting are also discussed.
