MUS 101 — Concert Band Ensemble (1) (0,3)

In the Concert Band, students will strengthen their technical proficiency with their instrument, sight-reading, and musical interpretation through ensemble performance. Additionally, students will gain a deeper understanding of individual and group contributions, music theory and history. A wide range of repertoire will be explored, from classical symphonic works to contemporary compositions, through weekly rehearsals to prepare for the end of semester concert. This course is repeatable 3 times. (1.1) Special Note: The band is open to all qualified adults as well as college and high school students. Students may choose to participate in the band earning college credit (enrolling in MUS101) or for personal interest (enrolling in CSX-101).
