This course is designed as a review of the basic operations of arithmetic and an introduction to algebra. The emphasis is on computations and the order of operations involving fractions, decimals, percentages, and signed numbers. The course introduces using variables. It is intended for the student who needs a review of arithmetic and pre-algebra skills. This course precedes Technical Math, Preparatory Math for General Education, or Combined Basic and Intermediate Algebra.
