This course focuses on concepts, issues, principles, and design of language assessments for reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills for culturally and linguistically diverse students in K-12 classrooms. Participants will explore current trends in building equitable assessments and analyze various forms of assessment tools and techniques used to measure language proficiency and academic development for English learners (ELs) in bilingual and ESL settings.
