CRJ 201 — Crisis and Conflict Mediation (3) (3,0)
This course presents the social and psychological factors found in crisis situations such as family violence, homicide, chemical and sexual abuse, suicide, physical illnesses, injuries, and various forms of interpersonal conflicts and violence. Students will develop strategies for effective assessment, intervention, and follow-up of these situations. The course also covers victimology, including the rights of victims, witnesses, and the responsibility of the helping professional.
