CIS 253 — Principles of Cyber Security (3) (2,2)
This course introduces students to the key concepts and practices in information security. Students will explore critical topics such as attack surfaces, cryptography, mobile and endpoint security, identity and access management, infrastructure protection, wireless network defenses, and cloud security. With a strong emphasis on hands-on activities, the course prepares learners to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities and respond to security incidents. Learners will develop practical skills and theoretical understanding required to protect information systems and data from emerging threats.
