This course introduces students to the principles of three-dimensional design and packaging as applied to communication design. Students will learn to create and apply die-lines, develop innovative packaging solutions, design wearable graphics such as t-shirts, and explore applications of signage in visual communication. This course emphasizes advanced use of design principles such as: typography, visual hierarchy, color, and composition while considering form, function, and audience. Students will produce portfolio-ready projects that demonstrate their ability to translate two-dimensional concepts into visually compelling three-dimensional designs.
