(.5-6, 0) A basic course in reading for the fundamentals of fluency, vocabulary acquisition and comprehension in literature, and informational texts-History/Social Studies, Science/Technical Subjects, Functional/Workplace Skills. The focus of reading will explore a range of texts and tasks. Knowledge gained from reading will be integrated in paragraph writing that encompasses a range of task, purpose and audience. Writing will emphasize on discipline-specific tasks requiring the mastery of complex sentence structures utilizing the eight basic parts of speech.
