ART 118 — Digital Fabrication I (3) (6)
This studio-based course introduces students to digital fabrication techniques used to create basic three-dimensional sculptures and prototypes. Students will learn to design and prepare digital files using modeling software and operate fabrication tools including 3D printers, laser cutters, and CNC milling machines. Projects emphasize design principles, material exploration, and iterative development from maquette to final prototype. Students will work with a variety of materials and fabrication methods to produce sculptural forms that demonstrate aesthetic intent, functionality, and craftsmanship. (1.1) Proficiency Credit: Available (2 EF) Pass/No Credit: Not Available.
