NUR275S — Caring for Childbearing Family/Capstone
9.50 credit hours Focuses on the knowledge skills and attitudes needed to safely practice evidence-based patient-centered nursing. Competency areas include: leadership and management; the integration of learned concepts and skills in the care of groups of clients; and a focus on child-bearing families. Emphasis is on ing the capstone student integrate and apply the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to make sound clinical judgments and improve the quality and safety of the health care systems within which they work. Clinical opportunities include a 96-hour internship with a preceptor in a hospital setting, and a variety of community placements that focus on children and expectant mothers.
