3.00 credit hours Explanation of the use of probation and parole Corrections (community corrections) as alternatives or as adjuncts to confinement, especially long-term confinement. The rules and functions of the probation and parole systems and their supervision are discussed. Various techniques and methods for achieving the goals are considered, including the community-related programs, which could include community corrections confinement if necessary.
