This course is a broad overview of the management practices employed in today’s fire/rescue services. The course focuses on the role of the fire administration within the context of municipal g overnment. The course will emphasize managerial ethics, accountability, the changing environment, planning, financial management, and preparing for the future. This course also requires development and defense of a Fire Science Thesis Portfolio documenting attainment of Fire Service Learning Outcomes. This course has been designed as writing intensive. (3 lec) Prerequisite: ENG 101 (ENGL 101)
