Students successfully complete didactic work which allows them to participate in the Firefighter Academy. The Firefighter Academy provides students with the skills to become proficient fire fighters. Firefighting scenarios that address a variety of fire types as well as safety and logistical procedures are covered. Students live in a fire station and follow the station contrac t which describes expectations for staffing the building and participating in the daily functioning for the building including cleaning, going on calls, and other duties as stated in the contract. Students participate in all training offered to the live in students . (1 le c, 2 shop) Prerequisite: Fire Science Program Acceptance
