FIR 107 — Vehicle Operations and Maintenance - Driver 1 Credit
Provides both classroom work and hands-on training aimed at reducing the frequency of accidents and minimizing their impact on the department and community. The participant manual assists partici pants in reviewing important issues discussed by the instructor. Candidates must drive fire apparatus through a designed driving course that simulates actions found on municipal streets and private right of ways. Student contact hours is evenly spread betw een the classroom and driving course. State credential EVOC/EVDC/AVOC will be accepted for transfer. (1 lec) Prerequisites: Must have a valid driver license and be at least 18 years of age.
