Explores principles for developing and managing positive and effective learning environments in special education settings as well as inclusive environments. Provides participants with the skills needed to create and/or adapt classroom practices to meet learning differences, physical challenges, and social-emotional needs of learners Encouraging collaborative learning, cultivating a growth mindset, emphasizing student engagement, and establishing norms that respect diversity will be discussed. Participants acquire skills necessary to develop Learn ing Environment Management plans and positive behavior supports for students. (3 lec.)
