Prepares students to excel as insurance billing specialists and to increase efficiency and streamline administrative procedures for one of the most complex tasks of the physician’s office: insurance coding and billing. Students will learn to process insurance claim forms while adhering to legal restrictions and develop an understanding of the specific requirements for managed care systems including “Maine specific” insurance carriers.
