NUR340 — Professional Nursing Practice

This course explores the roles, responsibilities and ethics of a BSN-prepared nurse; emphasizes professional growth, role development, and socialization process within the nursing profession. The students will identify and develop the characteristics of the professional nurse through the integration of lifelong learning strategies to support critical thinking in nursing practice, explore current trends in nursing practice, and examine the role of the nurse as an advocate for patients and policy.
