MUS376 — Choral Practicum II
A continuation of MUS 375. Provides further examination of the processes involved in developing a successful school choral program. Focuses on literature, methodology, effective rehearsal management strategies, and administration of a high school choral program. Includes the history and performance practices of stylistic periods of choral literature. Provides opportunities to plan and lead choral ensemble rehearsals. Includes preparations of materials for professional portfolios. Covers strategies for long-term professional development. Continues to develop skills in singing, score analysis, conducting techniques, section leading, and microteaching.
