MUS302 — Scoring and Arranging

An introduction to the principles and techniques of arranging, instrumentation, and orchestration. The course will introduce the standard instruments of the modern orchestra, wind ensemble, chamber ensembles such as brass and string quartets/quintets. The course will discuss choral arranging, and begin discussion of creative orchestration practice.

Prerequisites: MUS-206, MUS-213
