HCE490 — Capstone in Health Sciences

This course is a culminating experience for Health Sciences majors involving a substantive project that demonstrates a synthesis of learning accumulated in the major, including broadly comprehensive knowledge of the discipline and its methodologies. With faculty approval, students will complete a capstone project that aligns with their career goals and participate in a collaborative service-learning experience in a community, ambulatory, home or health care setting. Students will complete a portfolio of their work based on the capstone project that reflects content learned in the core courses of the undergraduate curriculum and revise as needed to create an impressive final portfolio that can be used in a professional setting.
