SRG 100 - Fundamentals of Surgical Technology SRG 100 - Fundamentals of Surgical Technology Hours: 3 This course introduces the student to the role of the surgical technologist within the health care team. Students will examine the progression’s history and evolution as well as an overview as a member of the surgical team. Hosptial management, the physical aspects of the operating suite, and standards of conduct will be emphasized. Introductory surgical regional anatomy will be discussed, as well as microbiology as it pertains to sterilization and disinfection. Lecture/Laboratory: 3 credit hour lecture Open only to: Surgical Technology Prerequisite: Placement into ENG 101
