PHY 102 - Introduction to Astronomy PHY 102 - Introduction to Astronomy Hours: 3 This course introduces the concepts and principles of our knowledge of the Earth, Solar System, stars and galaxies, other objects in the universe, and the universe itself and its evolution. The course also explores some of the methods used in studying astronomical objects such as observations from telescopes and spacecraft, the scientific method, and basic concepts from physics, geology, and other sciences to identify and explain formative processes and unique characteristics. This course is designed for students in non-science majors. MOTR ASTR 100 Gen Ed Skill Type: PHYS, CCT-CLO, MTSCI Prerequisite: MTH 094 , minimum grade C or appropriate placement into MTH 110 or higher
