MDA 223 - Medical Assistant Clinical Externship MDA 223 - Medical Assistant Clinical Externship Hours: 4 This course is designed to provide students the ability to apply concepts, practical experience, knowledge and skills learned throughout the Medical Assisting curriculum in the clinical setting. The student will complete 200 hours in an ambulatory care outpatient setting under the direct supervises of a clinical professional. Upon completion of the externship, students will have met 100% of the MAERB Core Curriculum Master Competencies. Students must achieve Passing (P) to successfully pass this course. Corequisite: MDA 222 Yearly Cycle: Fall
