HIM 101 - Intro to Health Information Management HIM 101 - Intro to Health Information Management Hours: 3 This course is designed to give the student the student an overview of the health information profession and the U.S. healthcare delivery system. Students will learn the content of the health record as well as how it is used and managed. The course also addresses the use of secondary data sources, form design, documentation requirements, vocabularies, terminologies, and accreditation. Students are required to earn a minimum grade of “C”. Prerequisite: Placement into ENG 101 Yearly Cycle: Spring
