EMS 201 - Paramedic 3 EMS 201 - Paramedic 3 Hours: 7.5 This course will cover cardiology and special populations. Special populations includes the study of obstetrics, neonatal care, pediatric, geriatric and patients with special challenges. During the course, students will be certified in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and pediatric advanced life support (PALS). Class includes didactic, psychomotor, and affective learning domains. This course uses the 2021 EMS Education Standards and the National Scope of Practice Model. Prerequisite: EMS 152 and EMS 162 ; Minimum grade C Corequisite: EMS 104 , EMS 131 , and EMS 202 ; Minimum grade C
