PHYS 2210 — Sports in Society 3 Credit Hours
This course will provide the students with a basic understanding of the theories and principles related to sociocultural issues, ethics, and morality in the sports industry. Students will be exposed to the current issues and trends that are prevalent in the sports industry. Topics may include, legal issues, amateur vs. professional athletes, technology and the media, issues related to gender, race, and or sexual orientation, and the globalization of the sports industry.
