HIT 1401 — CPT Coding for Physician Office 4 Credit Hours

Students will learn how to interpret physician documentation in order to assign appropriate procedure codes. Students will learn how to apply the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) conventions and official guidelines for coding and reimbursement. Real-world examples and hands-on activities are used to prepare students to become professional physician coders. (4 lecture hours)
