HIT 1140 — Disease and Pharmacology for Health Information Technology 4 Credit Hours

Students will examine information on abnormal changes in body systems as indicators of common diseases and pathological conditions. Information is presented on the pharmacologic agents used to treat the diseases with a focus on fundamental concepts of drug classification. (3 lecture hours, 2 lab hours)
