HIT 1107 — CPT Coding 3 Credit Hours

This course introduces students to the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) code sets. The students will learn to interpret healthcare documentation and apply guidelines, rules, and terms for the proper assignment of physician procedures and service codes. (3 lecture hours)
