DMIS 1131 — Abdomen/Superficial Structures I 3 Credit Hours

Students will be introduced to abdominal cross-sectional anatomy with the use of ultrasound. Topics will include vascular and abdominal organ systems with normal and pathologic conditions. Ultrasound evaluations will include upper abdominal organs such as liver, and gallbladder and biliary tree, spleen, pancreas, great vessels, scrotum, prostate, and urinary tract. (2 lecture hours, 2 lab hours)
