ART 2252 — Intermediate Jewelry/Metalsmithing: Forming & Fabrication 3 Credit Hours
An intermediate exploration of jewelry/metalsmithing with a focus on sheet metal forming and fabrication processes. Techniques demonstrated include die-forming, chasing and repoussé, and hammer forming. Emphasis is placed on technical skills, craftsmanship, and integration of form with concept. Students will further develop their personal aesthetic through the medium of metal. (6 lab hours)
