This course provides an introduction to the tools, materials and techniques of digital photography. Students learn to capture images using a digital camera to demonstrate and master basic standards in photographic technique. Topics include the use of digital interfaces, printers and file formats as well as the preparation of images for electronic display. A digital camera with manually adjustable f-stops and shutter speeds and a corresponding camera manual is required. (Equivalent to ART 031.)
