HPRS104N — Human Trafficking Strategies
Assessing and identifying victims is a critical role for healthcare professionals. Hospitals, health care and community providers play a critical role in the fight against human trafficking. A study from the Annals of Health Law estimates that 87% of trafficking victims had contact with a health care provider while being trafficked. This statistic highlights the need for health care providers to know how to spot human trafficking signs to report and provide aid accordingly. Topics address recently identified current events, skills, knowledge, and/or attitudes and behaviors pertinent to the technology or occupation and relevant to the professional development of the student. This course was designed to be repeated multiple times to improve student proficiency.
