FCTR1016 — Special Event Planning
The purpose of the Special Events Planning course is to teach the basics of how to plan and create a special event from beginning to end. The student will learn how to create a project plan, follow a timeline, set goals, plan a budget, design a floor plan, and create a marketing plan. A study of menu design, use of ice sculptures and ice displays, floral and lighting design, use of props for theme parties, table service, party floor plan, budgeting decor costs, and client presentation techniques using various media.
