PHOT 2525 - Event Photography PHOT 2525 - Event Photography 2 Credits This apprentice style learning course will allow students at all levels to take part in real event photography project from concept to planning, from capture to download, and from editing to delivery of a finished product. Skills from other camera courses will be reinforced, but no prior experience is necessary. Use telephoto lenses to make speaker shots. Troubleshoot technical problems in real time. Secure and download images after an actual shoot. Select camera settings needed for on-stage lighting conditions. Discuss camera shake and other factors leading to blurry pictures. Create filing systems for large volume work. Select camera settings needed for outdoor lighting conditions. Make portraits on location from an actual event. Coordinate the efforts of several photographers working at the same time. Make a plan for back-up equipment at an actual shoot. Create a workflow plan for an actual event. Coordinate photography plans with event planners. Take pictures on stage during a live event. Retouch images from an actual event. Prepare cameras and photo equipment for location photography. Take group overview pictures of indoor scenes. Understand and discuss about file sizes necessary for specific end use. Use on-camera flash at indoor events.
