TSL 3080 — ESOL Issues and Strategies I

The purpose of this course is to develop the foundation of knowledge necessary to prepare educators to teach English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and explore cross-cultural communication, legal issues that have influenced ESOL education, and first and second language acquisition theories. This course requires field experience hours observing and working with K-12 English Language Learners/ESOL students in an approved public school.
