PHIL 175 — C Symbolic Logic 3 Units

Term hours: 54 lecture. This is a course in elementary, truth-functional, propositional logic and first-order quantificational predicate logic, up through identity and definite descriptions. The course covers the techniques for the translation of English statements and arguments into formal logical languages and the methods for determining whether these arguments are valid.
