KIN 129 — C Vinyasa Yoga 1 Unit

Term hours: 54 laboratory. In this course, students will learn the foundation of yoga asana in relation to breath, pranayama. Vinyasa translates as, nyasa, to place, and vi, in a special way. In this respect, vinyasa, as it relates to yoga asana (posture), means, to place the body in a special way. Vinyasa, as a style of yoga practice is derived from the hatha yoga lineage, and generally means, to move the body in relation to breath. Pass/No Pass/Letter Grade Option. (UC Credit Limitation/CSU, AA GE).
