ETHN 162 — Introduction to Asian American Studies

This course centers Asian American and Pacific Islander experiences in the United States. We focus on the founding of Asian American Studies, the development of a panethnic consciousness, the resistance for and by the communities, and more. By utilizing and Ethnic Studies lens, we see the positioning of Asian Americans by others vis a vis whiteness as well as the points of solidarity with other groups. (CSU/UC) (AA/AS-4,6)
