Chemical Dependency, Short-Term Certificate
The short term Chemical Dependency Certificate of the Human Services program provides students with competencies that enable them to work with people who are chemically dependent. Students in the program can qualify for Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant Phase I (CDCA I) certification after taking four credit hours in HS-1101, Foundations of Substance Abuse, Addiction and Group Work during their first semester and qualify for Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant II (CDCA II) certification after taking HS-1200, Treatment Modalities and Diversity Issues in Chemical Dependency in their last semester.
