SPAN 1013 - Elementary Spanish I-II SPAN 1013 - Elementary Spanish I-II An introduction to the Spanish language and Spanish-speaking cultures with emphasis on the development of the four basic skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing in order to prepare students for successful entry into the target language. This is a beginning course for students who have had very limited or no prior study of this language. This is an eight-credit course with an embedded language lab component. This is an intensive beginning Spanish course in which two college semesters of Spanish are completed in one semester.
