SOC 2050 - Sociology of Work SOC 2050 - Sociology of Work This course will examine issues and concerns related to work in the United States today from a sociological perspective. Participants will learn to recognize and analyze key social, political, economic, and cultural factors shaping the experience of contemporary U.S. workers. They will also learn to recognize a range of key theoretical approaches to the study of work which mark the diversity within the social scientific disciplines. In addition, they will examine work from an historical, cross-cultural, and global-economic perspective to understand what shapes the changing experience of workers in the United States. Prerequisite: SOC 1001 Elective Code(s): LART, SSCI Previous: SOC* 250
