SOC 2042 - Sociology of Deviance SOC 2042 - Sociology of Deviance A sociological analysis of deviant behaviors and subcultures. Sociological theories of deviance will be examined and applied to the following topics: alcohol and drug use, violence, mental illness, crime, and sexual behavior. Special attention will also be given to social groups and communities whose customs and way of life are considered to be unconventional by contemporary standards.
