NMP 1140 - Digital Publishing and Layout NMP 1140 - Digital Publishing and Layout Students will receive in-depth instruction across several publishing software applications which are used in commercial graphics and multimedia production. Publishing software applications are used for creating layouts of text, graphics, photographs, and other visual images for print and electronic distribution. The course includes hands-on production of publication and templates for typical office documents, technical manuals, marketing literature, books, newsletters, eBooks, and packaging. Topics covered include: digital typography; style sheets, layout grids and master page techniques, image processing effects, interactivity, trapping and color palette systems, plug-in architecture and common digital publishing issues. Prerequisite: NMP 1001 or NMP 1110 Previous: DGA* 231
