MFG 1411 - Manufacturing Materials & Processes I MFG 1411 - Manufacturing Materials & Processes I An introduction to the basic principles on which manufacturing processes are based, and to the basic materials produced by or used in these processes. Topics include: nature of materials and specifically metals; the basic processes in manufacturing metals and some non-metals; testing of engineering materials; ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys; fundamentals of metal casting, molding, and heat-treating processes; metal cutting, forming, welding, joining, and abrasive processes; metal machining processes; quality control measurement and inspection.
