HUM 2029 - Topics in American Studies HUM 2029 - Topics in American Studies A study of the conflicting and competing socio-historical, literary, and artisticdefinitions of what it means to be an American through film, historical documents, novels, short stories, and other printed sources. Topics may include, and are not limited to, the Protest Tradition, environmental spaces such as urban life and the American West, Black Feminist resistance, Black Protest Traditions, abolitionist identities, indigenous experiences, Latinx identities, Asian-American identities, and border identities among others.
